Associate Lawyer · Immigration & Human Rights
Dual-qualified across the UK and Pakistan and a PhD candidate in human rights and asylum law, Atif pairs frontline immigration practice — asylum, detention, deportation, Article 8 — with the academic depth of a researcher and lecturer, and the creative arguments that come from both.

The Foundations
Dual Qualification & Academic Profile
Atif holds an honours degree from London South Bank University with eligibility for CILEX membership, a Masters in Human Rights Law with honours from the University of London, and is a PhD candidate researching human rights and asylum seekers. He is admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Pakistan, has served as a researcher at the University of Northampton and as a visiting lecturer at the School of Economics and Law — practice and scholarship feeding each other daily.
In Practice
Immigration & Human Rights Casework
His casework runs from asylum and nationality applications through detention challenges, bail and deportation defence, with particular strength in Article 8 arguments and the sensitive cases — high-profile individuals, multinational organisations, complex regularisations — where creative legal argument makes the difference. Recommendations from the judiciary of both the UK and Pakistan speak for the quality of the work.
Two Jurisdictions
Cross-Border Practice
Atif maintains an active Pakistan practice alongside his UK work — High Court advocacy, collaboration with the Government of Sindh, and regular travel for international legal coordination — giving clients with interests in both jurisdictions one lawyer who genuinely works in both. Away from the law: Grisham and Dan Brown novels, travel, and FC Barcelona.
