Paralegal

Paralegal – Immigration Department

Position Overview

Job Title: Paralegal
Location: London
Duration: Permanent

The Opportunity

Connaught Law is currently recruiting for a Paralegal based in our London office. This represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a leading law firm specialising in immigration law.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience handling diverse immigration caseloads, demonstrate strong technical competency, and possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills. You will be expected to maintain the highest professional standards while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing applications covering all aspects of UK Immigration Rules
  • Handling complex EEA applications
  • Processing Tier 1, 2, 4 and 5 sponsorship licence applications
  • Preparing Judicial Review applications and challenges to Sponsor Licence suspensions
  • Making representations to UKVI in cases of sponsor licence suspensions
  • Processing naturalisation and registration as British citizens applications
  • Submitting administrative review requests on behalf of corporate clients under the points-based system
  • Managing appeals to the First Tier Tribunal
  • Preparing discretionary leave/asylum and humanitarian protection applications

Essential Requirements

Working within our busy immigration team, you will liaise regularly with clients and colleagues. We are seeking candidates with:

  • Law Society or OISC accreditation (preferable)
  • Ability to generate fees in line with predetermined targets
  • Excellent drafting and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to manage and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Current knowledge and commitment to continual professional development
  • Strong client care, IT and business development capabilities
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of legal processes (desirable but not essential)
